Bookstand in white Oak

I thought it best to build up an inventory of work so I could have something that customers could see what I do and provide a little more material for a new website.

At 26 inches high, and 26 inches wide, this little book stand is begging for a book collection like the Redwall series.  The Arts and Crafts influence in this piece continues in choice of high quality, quarter sawn white oak for material.

Hand crafted keyed tenons hold the shelves in place and pinned tenons connect the top and foot rails to the legs.   The top is secured by fasteners which will move as the wood may have a minor tendency to do.  However, one of the features of quarter sawn lumber is very little movement with humidity changes.

Built to last a lifetime and give pleasure in its timeless beauty.
