What fun! A friend from the dog club asked me if I would be interested in a sailboat she found in the dumpster. Of course I said "sure."
I'm guessing it is the unfortunate result of a recent housecleaning by someone's ex wife. My gain. It wasn't broken and all the rigging seems to be intact. Just had to fix the mast-step which didn't survive the dumping, and make a stand to set it upon.
It is a 1:12 replica of a 12 meter sloop, with a cool gaff rig sail. Being 3 feet long, I don't have a spot for it in my house, but Craigslist may be the ultimate destination. When I'm working on it, you'll hear me humming some old Jimmy Buffet song.
